Honestly this was great. It feels a little pricey for the amount of food received, something I will probably eat once every few months, but got the spicy chicken and pickle pizza, fried pickles and peppers, and hot honey with basil.
I love the thin crust and square cut, love the atmosphere, the chicken pickle pizza, the fried pickles and peppers, the atmosphere, and even the skeletons riding bikes.
The organic wine selection was a little bit intimidating considering the cheapest bottle is $20 and ranges up to $30 but also it looks like they are a great selection and possibly even a great deal at the price point they are at. I've never heard of a pizza place selling good organic wines but I love the concept. I just don't love that two pizzas, a wine, and a side of fried pickles and peppers is about a $90 check and on top of it, it's carry out and the guy checking you out is sitting there making sure you leave him a tip on top of it before the food is even made... for carry out.. like what?
I have very mixed feelings about this place but love the concept and enjoyed the food.
I need everyone who’s reading this to stop what they’re doing and head over to Dicey’s tavern. We had such an amazing meal and it started immediately with their crispy cheese. Get it. Don’t ask questions.
Being a Chicago native their pizzas took me back to some of my favorite local bar pizzas. The cornmeal bottom was a great touch. The spicy Italian sausage and giardiniera pizza was spot on and filling. The veggies on the veggie supreme tasted as if someone picked them out of a garden that morning. Super fresh and delicious.
Plenty of parking on the weekend and not much of a wait. They also have a great beer and wine selection including natural wines (which I prefer). Great job Dicey’s….we’ll be back soon!
I cannot say enough good things about this place, seriously is my go-to for pizza. The service is always great, the atmosphere is always good, and their spicy pickle pizza is the chef's kiss. Also try their frozen limoncello drink. Yummy 😋
I ate here MONTHS ago but I decided to leave a review because i think about this place all the time. I almost regret eating here because no restaurant salad has been able to live up to the Little Gem salad from Dicey’s. Also had the hot honey pizza which was phenomenal and the best hot honey pizza I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience. I’ll travel to Nashville again solely to eat here
Their patio was amazing, and we could not have asked for a better evening to sit outside. The service was impeccable and constantly were checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. As of now, this is my favorite pizza I've had in Nashville. It's a very thin crust pizza and we tried one of their signature style pies as well as a build your own.
Gourmet thin crust pizza. Dicey's has some really killer options. I'm from the New York area, so I'm a pizza snob by default. I have only found a few good pizza places in Tennessee - Viking Pizza in Spring Hill, Joey's in Nashville (RIP). I think I have found another new favorite! It was a busy Thursday and 4 of us got a table right away. Service was quick with food and drinks.
We started with the crispy cheese and the fried pickles and peppers. I would recommend both, they were very good. The pizza had some really unique toppings... Pepperoni and hot honey. Pickles and bacon. I'll try just about anything. We ordered the Peppy Boy, Calabrian Vodka, Sausage & Giardinera, and the Hot Pickle Bacon Cheddar. The first two were my favorite, but all were excellent. The pizza is served on a sheet pan and cut into about 16 small slices. Prices were very reasonable considering the elevated ingredients. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
I lived in Illinois for over 30 years so I know my Tavern style pizza pretty well. A few of my friends in town stated that this pizza was pretty legit, and Dave Portnoy’s review seemed to back that up. I decided to try it out with two of my friends. for starters, I was sort of put off with the fact that they served craft draft beer and either a 12 ounce or 22 ounce glass. $7 for a 12 ounce beer is high, they really should be serving these in shaker pints like everybody else in town. That was a minor put off for me. I ordered a 9 inch sausage pizza, which was $13, rather high for a very thin Tavern style pizza. The good news is that I thought the crust was very good and to style. However, it had little to no sauce (see photo). It really needed sauce to balance out the pizza with the blend of cheese they use. It was the same deal on the other pizzas my friends ordered, one pepperoni and one giardinera. Overall this former Chicagoan was pretty disappointed with the pizza. Not sure if it was just an off night and the cooks in the kitchen were lazy with the tomato sauce? I’d love to give them another try, but it would take a 25 minute drive and $13, so I’m not sure I will anytime soon.
I stopped in around 3:30 for a late lunch on Sunday. Greeter got me seated and my server Valeria brought some water and took my drink order. I knew I had to try the crispy cheese…and I agree that was some pretty darn good stuff. Decided on a pepperoni pizza and it came out pretty quickly as they weren’t that busy. Really good crust that was crispy while the toppings were awesome. The in-house made pepperoni was really good and I loved the spicy kick and the flavor. The beer I selected was a Mexican beer called Toro Y Oso by Xul Beer Company…basically a standard lager but NOT worth the $10 price tag. So for me really good food, but the beer menu for me was weak. At the end of my meal they were starting to get busy, and this place gets very loud so if you’re looking for a quiet place to talk go when they are not busy. I’m sure when the weather cools down their ample outdoor seating is an awesome place to dine.
